What authority do we have to offer this service?

Amendment 10 of the US Constitution provides that "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

We the People  must act if our various legislatures are powerless or at best timid.

We do not seek to overturn any part of the Bill of Rights. We seek only to encourage a respectful dialogue that leads to greater public safety and removes the threat of criminal and political violence. No society can permit violence in furtherance of political objectives.

NRA1 Anthem

Where the Guns Are

Where the guns are
Someone waits for me
A hate-filled face, a cold embrace
Two arms to grab me angrily
Where the guns are
My true fear will be
Walking down some street in town
And I know he'll be looking there for me
To a crowd of a million people
The voices will tell him to go
Then he'll climb to the highest steeple
And rain death on those far below
Where the guns are
We've a right to know
It’s not too late; we can stop hate
In the meantime, all secret guns must go
'Til he finds me
I will hide anxiously
Where the guns are
Where the guns are
Where the guns are
